Insurance Inspections Soffit-Fascia-Eaves SIGNIFICANT portions of the soffit, fascia or eaves with paint peeling, dry rot or damage that presents immediate jeopardy of loss should be a major. General rule of thumb would be 25% or more of the soffit, fascia or eaves with significant problems should be a major condition, although this is not absolute as some very serious loss can occur from even 1 area with extreme damage. Water Damaged Soffit Indicative Of Roof Leak Slight paint peeling, dry rot or damage should be recorded as minor condition concern. Fascia Dry Rot - Minor Condition Damaged, missing, or hanging sections that allow for abnormal exposure of the dwelling to weather should be marked as major condition concern. |
