Soffit-Fascia-Eaves

SIGNIFICANT portions of the soffit, fascia or eaves with paint peeling, dry rot or damage that presents immediate jeopardy of loss should be a major. General rule of thumb would be 25% or more of the soffit, fascia or eaves with significant problems should be a major condition, although this is not absolute as some very serious loss can occur from even 1 area with extreme damage.

Slight paint peeling, dry rot or damage should be recorded as minor condition concern.

Damaged, missing, or hanging sections that allow for abnormal exposure of the dwelling to weather should be marked as major condition concern.
